About
Bardoom Cellar Notes is a small independent publication about the history and the everyday culture of beer and the places where it is drunk: breweries, taverns, pubs, bars and the objects and habits around them.
We publish short essays, written from printed sources and checked against more than one of them. Where the evidence is thin or the stories disagree we say so. The articles are not reviews and we do not rate beers.
The journal is not supported by advertising and does not track its readers. Two sections cover regional traditions: Hops on the Bohemian pub and Malt on Spanish bars and breweries.
